My story: The Serpent King of the Deep is one of the rarely fully seen Colossus's who normally is mistaken as a sea serpent being it mainly uses its long serpent headed tentacles to skim the surface world for fresh foods. Little is known about this beast to the general lore master... Gathered below is all that is currently known about The Serpent of the Deep...
It's Abilities: It is capable of many feats, such as: It can produce bio-luminescent light on the [freckles] that are seen across it's body, which it also uses to hypnotize fish into a state of passivity making it an easier meal. It as well can produce a large electrical charge through it's crab like front legs allowing it a stunning effect that affects anything near it in the water.
The Secretes of...: The King of the Deep is actually more then one creature, it is a small community with a single female as the "house" in which the males as well offspring live within... The female of the species is in actuality a large serpent with two large ear canals and a huge mouth... along the side of the eye sockets the ear canals act as "houses" for the male of the species, the female can house up to 2 males at a time. The tentacles are actually their off spring that the female keeps within her mouth for protection as well for gathering.
The Process: I drew this with pencils [*seen below] then i used gimp freeware to color it.

My personal thoughts on contest: I truly believe that we all have our moment in the sun, it may not be today or tomorrow but it will come... either way, best of wishes to all who try their best... Don't forget we all win when we try, there is even a prize for each and everyone of us... The picture we create is as much a prize as anything else that we could win... Keep on trying!
