CURRENT DATE: 12/14/2012 Overwhelmed & need help!.... Too many cats and not enough money to get them all fixed, My partner and I saved 2 females last year named Cassandra and Fade from a neighbor who abandoned them, at the time all my cats were fixed so we were not worried about kittens... a few months later we rescued another cat [this time a male] named Warwick, he had a major urinary track infection and required a good deal of money to make better. We did not think that in his condition that he could or would impregnate Fade or Cassandra, but we were wrong. 18 kittens later.... I have found homes for some and will continue to keep looking. But at this point we face a 400 dollar a month cat food & litter bill so it makes getting anything done near impossible. If anyone can help please donate to [haw creek animal hospital] their number is (828)298-1954 and they are located in Asheville NC in care of reeves budd for spay/nurturing, We have 5 females left to get fixed and time is running out. We aren't worried about the males till later, for now we have to get the females fixed to stop this chain of pain from becoming worse. I do not want any money given to me to insure for all that this is not a scam or plea for money.. You can call them and use credit or go by to them. PLZ get a recipe and either send it to me here so i know who to pay back in the long run and or thank. We have checked with brother wolf, the SPCA, feral friends [Nancy], & several other organizations to see if anyone can help and so far only feral friends said maybe.

Wealth and Profit Caps NOW!

For American capitalism to work we need wealth and profit caps, without these we will suffer greed gone wild and the death of the middle class, once the middle class dies there will be no connection between the wealthy and the poor, meaning the only way for the poor to survive will be through slavery [aka] minimum wage without benefits, which will lead to rebellion... We must also stop unfair tax laws meant to allow the wealthy an escape from fair taxation.

*wealth caps = a set cap on indivual wealth. my suggestion: 50 million to 1 billion cap with overages used toward community betterment programs.
*profit caps = a set cap applied to allowable profits on goods and services. My suggestion: [goods- approximately 3x the base cost], [services- approximately 4x the minimum hourly wage] <- equals a fair profit and fair price.

A good time smile finds my face even though i lost the race.
A memory made is the greatest prize, win or lose at least I tried.
Onto the next great adventure I go, maybe this time... who really knows?

I wanted to show a positive way to look at contest because many people feel rejected in the end via the natural limitation of how many winners" there can be in the contest [being there are only so many prizes available]... I wanted to also point out that it is always a matter of taste with art and contest based on the arts, there are no losers if everyone tries their personal best... Remember judges are people too, just like us contestants, and just like us they have likes and dislikes and they are just as entitled to act on them as we are. Not winning is not an insult, it just means the work did not line up with the taste of the judges. Never forget we all created a new work that was inspired by the contest to add to our galleries as well we all got some nice exposure along the way.

Who am I? I am whatever my imagination allows me to be. I also happen to be a 41 year old kid with too many things to do and not enough time to do them. My name is Calliope Reeves Alien Budd, Born in Eden, North Carolina and raised in Asheville, North Carolina USA. I received a degree in Graphic Arts & Advertising Design from South Western Community College in Sylva, NC, USA class of 1992. I joined DeviantArt March 23 of 2009 sharing my art for the 1st time with the online world. I joined Redbubble as CReevesABudd in December 2009, and now I am on Zazzle as of February 2010. I am also on Shadowness.com :D
What's my Artistic passion? To learn all I can and expand my abilities to better the connection of my imagination vs my hands limitations.
Why did I get into art? I have always been into art, I can't imagine my life without it...
How do you inspire yourself? everything in life offers some form of inspiration, I have found my biggest challenge is getting started. I set goals for myself daily to create something new to get past the starting point.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years? Above ground, outside of that I would love to have the ability to improve my life through my art <aka> making money on it... I have always dreamed of publishing my own art book of my life's works.

Positive Affirmations: Introspective News

I was thinking tonight of positive remarks to make in my shout box and just wanted to share the current ones with my watchers... I have been trying hard to keep a positive attitude in a harsh world and these were what has kept me going in some of my darker times so I thought maybe they were worthy of sharing... I apologize for using news instead of what would seem better suited for journals, but those that know me, know i use my journal more as an [add plate] for information instead of an actual journal [I blame those lovely journal skins] but at any rate... here is my small list of things I tell myself to help keep me from going crazy...

1) Don't give up on your dreams, every day you work towards them, puts you one day closer to them becoming real.

2) There is no failure for within each mistake lies a lesson learned which contains far greater value then any masterpiece could hope to give you.

3) Spread the happiness within your heart by treating others as you would wish to be treated...

4) It's NEVER too late to start, might as well do what you can while you can.

5) The only real enemy that exists is the one within your own mind...Believe in others and they will believe in you.

I wish you all the best and hope that the happiness finds you on your way through this world... live your dreams!

My thought for the day on recent "what would you do scenario "public behavior"

"As someone who has suffered by the silence of others as well suffered violence based on prejudices, the act of ignoring someone else pain stays longer in memories then the actual act of violence. The point is by turning a blind eye, you become partly liable for causing a life time of pain in someone else. Doing nothing makes you as much the monster as the aggressor. I will NEVER feel SAFE in a public area again due to what happened to me many years ago, the fact NO ONE helped has given me years and years of pain. I have forgotten the faces of the ones who attacked me, but not the faces of those who looked away in my moment of desperation... It's hard to even type all this out now, many many years later. I wish more then anything I could forget how a crowd of people turned their back to me while i was beaten and left for dead, but I can't..."

whew been a rough year so far, 30 some cats rescued and under my care, car totaled by a 17 year old running a red light, on disability /SSI, health issues & massive debt... but hey life is full of ups and downs. Just been busy busy trying to get back on my feet. How about you? :D
